What is Varicose Vein treatment? Varicose veins are more commonly known as “spider veins”. The most common spider vein treatment is usually fairly simple and involves simply injecting a treatment solution directly into the vein. This solution then causes the vein to collapse in size and eventually face in color, as well.

What are Spider Veins?
Varicose veins, or spider veins, are essentially clusters of purple, blue, or dark red veins that appear on the thigh, calves, and ankles, predominately in women. For some, these will start to show at a younger age, but for most, these begin to really become noticeable after 50.

Spider veins can start to appear for a variety of reasons, a few of which include:

Spider Vein Consultation for Treatment
During your consultation, your Dr. Forrest Wall will want to discuss any problems that you’ve had in the specific affected area, any surgeries or treatments that have been performed near the affected area. This also includes any previous vein treatments. You will need to know what medications you are on currently as well as any medical conditions, allergies, or treatments.
Dr. Wall will also evaluate your general health along with any preexisting conditions and risks, look at your veins, and discuss the options for your varicose vein treatment with you.
